The Coronado alum, who two weeks ago was named the Conference USA golfer of the week, has felt the growth of his team in the first year of new coach Aaron Puetz and knows big times are ahead for the program.
In the way these things sometimes go, as a fifth-year senior, a big piece of that future won't include Yellin swinging clubs in Miner gear, but he'll still be around in important ways.
Yellin is the bridge to that brighter future, the senior leader ushering in a new era for a program he has always loved.
