With a little more than a week before the official announcement, it's harder than usual to guess which teams will being playing this New Year's Eve in the Hyundai Sun Bowl.
Eight prominent bowl projection sites are projecting eight different matchups. A few of those line up with 12 different scenarios that Sun Bowl Executive Director Bernie Olivas believes are likely.
"It's kind of fun, but this is the time of year I stay up late: 'If this guy beats this guy and this guy beats this guy, then we get this guy,' " Olivas said. "You look at the teams in the (ACC) pool, it's 7-4, 7-4, 7-3, 7-4, 7-3.
