The game was tight throughout and featured eight ties. UTEP's largest lead was five and Louisiana Tech's largest lead was six.
The Miners are 15-10 overall and 8-5 in Conference USA, Louisiana Tech is 18-7 overall and 9-4 in league play. UTEP avenged a 64-52 loss to the Bulldogs at home in January.
