For the first time in UTEP history, both the UTEP cheer and dance teams have been invited to take part in the 2021 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, Nov. 25.
With the announcement posted on social media Sept. 5, both teams have asked for help from the community asking for donations to help cover additional costs not covered.
“This is a door-opening opportunity for us; it’s unbelievable to be invited to such an iconic event,” said captain of the UTEP Dance Team Jaqueline Reyes. “It feels good to be appreciated and recognized for all the hard work we put into every performance.
