One bad trend UTEP reversed last week — other than the 20-game losing streak — was better play on special teams, and the Miners will likely have to dominate there to have a chance to beat Middle Tennessee on Saturday.
The Blue Raiders are ranked ahead of UTEP in punting, punt return and kickoff return, while UTEP has the better kickoff coverage unit.
