The UTEP women's basketball team released a nine-game nonconference schedule Friday for the 2022-23 season that could portend a record 20-game Conference USA schedule.
The C-USA schedule will be released later this summer, but the Miners typically have around 30 games on the final schedule, so the nine-game nonconference schedule – the fewest UTEP has ever had – would seem to indicate the Miners will play the other 10 teams in C-USA twice each in the 2022-23 season.
C-USA, which had 14 teams last season and will have nine in 2023-24, will have 11 in the coming season.
