Award watch list season is officially here, and one Ute finds themselves on one of the biggest lists in the land, and that’s the Maxwell Award watch list. The Maxwell Award is awarded to the nation’s player of the year — not to be confused with the Heisman. It’s junior running back Zack Moss that made this list. Moss rushed for 1173 yards last season, and really picked up steam as the season went along.
The winner of last season’s award was Baker Mayfield, the Heisman QB from Oklahoma, so you can see the level of player that wins this award.
