SALT LAKE CITY – Senior Brenna DeYoung, sophomore Adora Anae and freshman Berkeley Oblad tallied 11 kills each as the Utah volleyball team opened Pac-12 play with a 3-1 (25-17, 26-24, 21-25, 25-21) victory over the Colorado Buffs Wednesday evening at the Huntsman Center.
The Utes moved to 7-5 overall with the win and 1-0 in conference play, while the Buffs dropped to 8-5 and 0-1 in the Pac-12 standings. Utah has now won two-straight and four of the last six matches against Colorado. Utah extended its home winning streak over the Buffs as well, earning a sixth straight win over Colorado in Salt Lake City dating back to 2001.
