SPOKANE, Wash. – The Utah volleyball team overcame a four-set loss earlier in the day and closed out the Gonzaga Invitational defeating the Bulldogs in five sets (19-25, 25-22, 25-22, 23-25, 15-5) Saturday evening at Martin Centre in Spokane, Wash.
The sophomore trio of Adora Anae, Eliza Katoa and Carly Trueman led the way for the Utes offensively as Utah moved to 5-2 overall on the season. Anae posted her third 20+ kill effort with a match high 22 kills, Katoa tied a career-high with 17 kills and Trueman posted new career-highs with 14 kills while hitting a remarkable .
