SALT LAKE CITY – The No. 23 Utah Utes earned a three-set sweep over CSUN in the first of four matches that will be played at the Huntsman Center on Saturday, downing the Matadors 25-20, 25-18 and 25-8.
The Utes, who moved to 2-0 on the season, will close out the Utah Classic later this evening against Lipscomb (1-0) at 5 p.m., while CSUN (0-2) plays Idaho State (0-1) at 5 p.m.
Utah opened the first set with a 4-0 run, which included a kill and a service ace from sophomore Eliza Katoa.
