SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah women’s tennis team falls to 1-7 in Pac-12 conference play after dropping a decision to No. 20 UCLA at the Eccles Tennis Center on Sunday.
Catherine Harrison and Kristin Wiley defeated sophomore Margo Pletcher and freshmen Brianna Turley 6-4 to start the day. The doubles point was clinched by UCLA’s Kyle McPhillips and Terri Fleming with a 6-4 victory over senior Sarah Richter and sophomore Alexia Petrovic.
Petrovic tied the match at 1-1 with a goose egg win over Laura Luca.
