Playing athletics, collegiate or professionally, has become a year-round prospect for many people. Recently, one former Utah soccer player shared her journey to fulfilling her dream.
Allie Wisner played in 82 games during five years at the University of Utah. After suffering a season-ending injury that caused her to miss the 2010 season, she returned to action and eventually was named team captain. In her senior season, she paced the team in goals as the Utes achieved their best record in Pac-12 play and reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time in seven seasons. Wisner’s perseverance and leadership are the characteristics that set her apart since she wanted to continue to play soccer, but did not know where this path would lead her.
