AUSTIN, Texas -
Utah gymnasts Breanna Hughes and Kailah Delaney were named today to the CoSIDA Academic All-America At-Large Team—Hughes to the first team and Delaney to the second team. The Academic All-America teams are selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The at-large Academic All-America team encompasses 16 NCAA sports.
Hughes, a five-time All-American with a 3.965 cumulative GPA, was the 2016 Pac-12 all-around and vault champion, the 2016 NCAA Regional all-around champion and the 2016 Pac-12 Gymnastics Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She has completed requirements for a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies and plans to take nursing prerequisites next year while also serving as a Utah gymnastics student coach.
