The Utes are rolling into their second bye week of the season after a big win on the road against Washington, and now sitting at 8-1, 5-1 in the Pac-12, the Utes now know where they sit in the eyes of the College Football Playoff Committee and that’s at No. 8, same as the AP Poll.
The Utes are one spot behind Oregon, the only other Pac-12 team ranked in this opening Top 25 for the CFP of the year. This is a great position for the Utes and the Ducks as teams ahead of them are going to play each other, and if both teams take care of business, the winner of the Pac-12 Championship will have a punchers chance to get into the CFP.
