SALT LAKE CITY — The Utes hold a one-game lead over the USC Trojans and the UCLA Bruins for first place in the Pac-12 South. With only four games remaining, the Utes' magic number to win the Pac-12 is down to four, meaning any combination of Utah wins and UCLA losses or Utah wins and USC losses would clinch the Pac-12 South title for the Utes.
While Arizona State currently trails the Utes by just two games in the division, they also lost to Utah earlier in the season, meaning even in the event of an identical record at the end of the season, the Utes would own the tie-breaker.
