The season ended in a fizzle for the Utes, as they dropped their opening round NIT game to Boise State at the Huntsman Center on Tuesday night 73-68. Utah struggled in some of the most fundamental aspects of the game, and in some areas we’ve seen all year long. We saw some careless turnovers, ok a lot of careless turnovers with 16 (double of what BSU had) and a bunch of missed free throws, only going 9 of 16, plus some missed bunnies in the paint. The team looked engaged for short spurts, and when they were, they would make some headway, when they weren’t, well, you saw what happened.
