SALT LAKE CITY — In what can only be described as a “weird” game, Utah staved off a late comeback by rival BYU to claim its seventh consecutive victory. The result: Utah dropped in the national rankings.
Utah moved down one spot to No. 24 in the latest USA Today Amway Coaches Poll Sunday. Utah was previously ranked No. 23 in last week’s poll. The Associated Press Top 25, which is considered to be the official poll until the College Football Playoff Poll is released later in the season, will be released at 12 p.m. Sunday.
