SALT LAKE CITY — Utah cut Oregon’s lead to 4 points late in the third quarter, but that was as close as the Utes would get as Oregon rolled to a 41-20 victory to snap a three-game skid.
Utah (4-4, 1-4) scored its first touchdown on a broken play in which Tyler Huntley’s pass was tipped at the line and landed in offensive lineman Darrin Paulo’s hands while on the ground in the end zone. The touchdown was reviewed and later confirmed to cut into Oregon’s 11-point lead.
Oregon (5-4, 2-4) would go on to score 17 unanswered points on a made 38-yard field goal and back-to-back touchdowns.
