Utes basketball add second Top-10 team to 2018-19 nonconference schedule

SALT LAKE CITY — In March, the NCAA Tournament selection committee made it clear that a strong nonconference schedule was paramount to any chance of playing in the Big Dance.

Utah’s Larry Krystkowiak paid close attention to the teams that were selected, including an Arizona State team that finished ninth in the Pac-12 but had a stellar nonconference schedule, and adjusted to make sure his Utes had a strong resume this upcoming season.

On Monday, Krystkowiak announced part of what is shaping up to be a tough nonconference schedule: a home-and-home series with Mountain West Conference favorite Nevada.
