SALT LAKE CITY — Utah opens up Pac-12 play on the road Friday in a game that will likely show how prepared the Utes will be for conference play this season.
Although relatively unchallenged in its first three games of the season, Utah enters Friday’s matchup against Arizona with a Top 25 ranking in the Associated Press poll and an undefeated record. But the remaining nine games of the season will be anything like the first three.
In fact, ESPN’s Football Power Index has Utah with the No. 1 most difficult remaining schedule in the country.
Arizona, which was picked by media to finish last in the Pac-12 in its preseason poll, should be a good and relatively easier test for the Utes in their opening game, but history of the matchup says otherwise.
