6’3 200lbs, the Utes have had success in the past with players of this size.
Unpolished at the cornerback position, coaches have been able to take a couple of guys and turn them into NFL caliber players.
Sean Smith was a 6’3 200ish lb running back when he came to Utah. Smith spent a little bit of time at running back before making the switch to wide receiver. When coaches felt Smith’s services were better suited for the defensive side of the ball, they moved him to corner. In 2007, Smith led the Utes and the Mountain West Conference with 4 interceptions while only starting 9 games.
