OREM, Utah — Utah Valley had won four straight baseball games over Utah, dating back to March 30, 2016.
That streak came to a screeching halt thanks to an offensive fireworks show put on by DaShawn Keirsey Jr. and company. Keirsey had five hits, scored four runs and drove in four runs to help the Utes rout UVU 23-5 on Tuesday night at Brent Brown Ballpark.
"It was a complete effort all the way around," Utah head coach Bill Kinneberg said. "We swung the bats extremely well. We pitched very well from the third inning on. Good victory for a Tuesday and we get ready for Washington State.
