SALT LAKE CITY — The way things started for Utah against Arizona, it looked as if the hangover from last week's tough loss at Cal was still lingering in the minds of coaches and players.
Things started to spiral out of control early and often for the Utes.
Utah gave up a 75 yard TD pass on the first play of the game. When in position to answer a few series later, a bobbled snap moved Utah back from the Arizona 2 yard line to the 10, and Utah had to settle for a field goal.
After another Arizona touchdown, Utah moved into Arizona territory again, only to have five penalties (one of which was declined) that pushed Utah back into a 4th down with 40 yards to go.
