SALT LAKE CITY — In a much-needed bye week, the University of Utah moved up in the national rankings Sunday.
Utah moved up to No. 12 in the USA Today Amway Coaches Poll after three teams ahead of Utah in the Top 25 lost Saturday, including No. 4 Texas A&M, No. 10 Nebraska and No. 13 LSU.
Utah is one of four Pac-12 teams ranked in the latest polls, with No. 4 Washington leading the conference. Washington was ranked No. 5 in the season’s first College Football Playoff rankings Tuesday, coming in behind Texas A&M as a result of the committee observing what they felt to be a weaker schedule for the Huskies.
