SALT LAKE CITY — Utah freshman guard Brandon Miller is no longer a part of the team after asking for a release, according to head coach Larry Krystkowiak.
Miller asked for a release this week, which was granted by Krystkowiak; however, details surrounding his release were not immediately known. Miller joined the team earlier this year after serving a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
"We wish Brandon nothing but the very best in his future endeavors," Krystkowiak said in a prepared statement. "He is a fantastic young man and was a committed teammate during his time here in Utah.
