Fridays are typically reserved for high school football, but out-of-state recruits are coming to Rice-Eccles this weekend for the USC game, including Utah’s presumed quarterback of the future.
The Utes will host three players, headlined by quarterback Jason Shelley who is one of four recruits committed to Utah in the 2017 class. The two other visitors are committed as well — receiver Tyquez Hampton to Washington State and tight end Jeremy Patton to Arkansas — but are still taking visits and receiving offers.
Here’s a quick rundown on each:
TYQUEZ HAMPTON, WR, El Dorado (El Paso, Texas)
Rivals 3-star/Scout 3-star/247 Sports 3-star
A 6-foot-2, 210-pound receiver, Hampton is the second Wazzu commit to visit Utah in as many home games (RB Cyrus Habibi-Likio decommitted from WSU this week, by the way, after visiting for the BYU game).
