The second polls of the season came out Tuesday, after a long college football weekend. The big movers up are LSU, after a big win over Miami, Virginia Tech, after topping Florida State and Stanford saw a pretty solid bump in both polls. The droppers are Miami, Michigan, Florida State and Texas. Why Texas was ranked is a giant mystery to so many people. USC saw a drop in the AP Poll, after a so-so showing against UNLV, but actually jumped a few spots in the Coaches Poll. Stanford didn’t plummet after their loss to Auburn, so they’re still sitting in a good spot.
