The Utes have officially announced the signing of cornerback Jaylon Johnson out of Fresno, CA. Johnson was a four-star composite recruit from 24/7 Sports, and had offers from virtually every Pac-12 school, as well as Oklahoma and Florida.
When Utah landed Johnson back in Utah, they knew they had to play defense to keep him, especially with so many schools knocking down his door. The Fresno product was a US Army All-American, but didn’t play since he had surgery earlier in the year. Johnson could be a day one contributor, especially with the losses in the secondary, with Domo Hatfield, Reggie Porter, Brian Allen and Justin Thomas all graduating.
