Today, on Throwback Thursday, Utah football released a "Neo Classic" throwback uniform that will be worn for the Homecoming game on Oct. 10 against the Cal Golden Bears. The uniform borrows design elements from classic Utah football uniforms from the past. The uniform starts with interlocking UU logo on a white helmet, which is taken from the 1960s. The font for the numbers comes from uniforms from the 1970s. Lastly, the stripes on the jerseys date from uniforms worn from the 1970s-1990s.
