SALT LAKE CITY — Utah football received a signed National Letter of Intent from junior college transfer Troy Williams Thursday.
Williams, a 6-foot-2, 197-pound quarterback from Carson, California, comes from Santa Monica College after one year at the junior-college level. Williams was previously at the University of Washington, in 2014, where he played in four games before moving down to the junior-college level.
As a freshman at Washington, Williams threw for 176 yards and two interceptions in four games, while completing 63.9 percent of his passes. At Santa Monica College this year, Williams threw for 2,750 yards and 31 touchdowns in 10 games.
