SALT LAKE CITY — The University of Utah will kick off its season Thursday against North Dakota, and with that comes the release of the team’s depth chart.
While there were few surprises, there was one first: Utah listed four receiver positions on the depth chart. Head coach Kyle Whittingham said the receivers are part of offensive coordinator Troy Taylor’s offensive sets, and something the team will “employ.”
“We're definitely going to continue to see four wide receivers on the field a good percentage of the time,” Whittingham said.
The receiver position, Whittingham added, has seen more of a “dramatic difference than any other group when you compare to last year.
