The Utes received a commitment on Sunday afternoon from Devin Lloyd, a three-star athlete out of Otay Ranch High in Chula Vista, Calif.
At 6-foot-4 and 210, Lloyd has the potential to be a receiver or a defensive back for the Utes next fall.
Lloyd is graded as Scout’s No. 14 athlete in California, and he played both ways for Otay Ranch. He’s credited with 29 catches for 493 yards and six touchdowns as a senior, but was also a major player on defense with 52 tackles and eight interceptions. The Mustangs were 4-8 last year.
