SALT LAKE CITY (AP) Former Utah cornerback Dominique Hatfield is cleared to return to school, but not the team.
Coach Kyle Whittingham updated the situation of his former starter Monday.
Hatfield was dismissed from the team last month after he was charged with aggravated robbery and theft. Prosecutors recently dropped charges, but Salt Lake District Attorney chief deputy Blake Nakamura said Monday the investigation is ongoing.
Hatfield was charged with misdemeanor assault last week stemming from a fight during a party.
