Utah battles but falls to No. 6 Nevada 86-71

The Utes battled for much of the game against Nevada, but a sloppy start to open the second half did them in, as Utah fell to the No. 6 rated Nevada Wolfpack at the Huntsman Center 86-71. Utah had a great game plan in this game, and really executed to really well for much of the game. On defense, Utah was running different versions of a zone, to keep Nevada a off balance and to limit paint touches. It really slowed down Nevada, and Utah controlled the pace of the game for the entire first half.

Having a breakout game this season, and his third consecutive good game off the bench, Sedrick Barefield was the guy that was keeping the Utes in the game on the offensive side of the ball.
