So the Utes brought in Daniels and fellow 2016 forward Mitch Lightfoot last week for a visit coinciding with Utah football's 24-17 win over Michigan. They let the MUSS do a significant part of the recruiting pitch.
"That student section is crazy," Lightfoot said. "It was wild being a part of that."
It could be looked back upon as a critical recruiting visit for Utah basketball if the coaching staff can bag commitments for one or both of them.
Daniels is a combo guard who can score, defend and dish, and with Utah out of the running for Frank Jackson, they could use the guard help and size in the 2016 class.
