The Utes played much more like the Utes that we saw last season, especially over the last couple of games. The Utes played one of their most complete games of the season, especially in conference play, in a win over the Bears. The Utes were led by Jakob Poeltl's 21 points and 9 rebounds. For much of the game the only person that could stop Jakob was Jakob. He shot 7-of-10 from the field, but was only 7-of-14 from the free throw line. Brandon Taylor and Kyle Kuzma pitched in 15 points a piece.
For Cal, they were led by Jaylen Brown almost exclusively, with 27 points on 9-of-20 shooting (8-of-10 from the foul line).
