But perception isn't always reality: Larry Krystkowiak said Monday morning, "I don't see putting Jayce in a game at this point." After Johnson's third practice, he's still getting used to a lot about the college level and learning positioning, plays and other aspects of the game. Krystkowiak said it is "pretty unfair" to mount immediate playing expectations on Johnson, who had originally planned to redshirt the year.
"It's hard for any freshman when they get a normal timeline to pull it off," he said. "It's like most kids and worrying about being in the right spot that you can't really be productive.
