Utah basketball: Jakob Poeltl named an Oscar Robertson Trophy finalist

On the heels of a double-double in one of the biggest wins of the year for Utah, Jakob Poeltl has been named a finalist for the Oscar Robertson Trophy.

The award goes to the top college basketball player country annually, selected by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association. The Austrian sophomore center is up for the trophy, presented on April 11, as well as the Naismith, Wooden and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Awards.

Averaging 17.6 points, 9.0 rebounds and shooting 66.7 percent from the floor (fourth in the nation). Among the Pac-12, Poeltl ranks second in scoring, third in rebounding and second in free throw attempts and makes.
