It’s been a challenging season thus far for the Utah baseball team, as they sit at 12-15 on the season. They’ve played rather well the last couple of series by taking two of three from Oregon in Salt Lake, and now they’ve lost back-to-back game to No. 1 Oregon State by a score of 4-5 each game in Corvallis. The most recent on Saturday was a 16 inning affair, where Utah was looking to snap OSU’s 22 game win streak, but a rally in the bottom of the 16th pushed the Beavers over the top for the win.
Utah actually took the lead in the top of the 16th off of a Dallas Carroll two out home run, and it looked like Utah may score the major upset.
