It was another week of great competition among Utah’s non-revenue producing sports. Utah golf, cross country, soccer and Volleyball all have big matches upcoming as we move ahead through the fall. Here’s a quick look at each sport.
The men's golf team was in Colorado Springs over the weekend for the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational. The local schools dominated with Colorado State and Colorado finishing first and second and Wyoming placing third in the tournament. The Utes did not fare as well tying Abilene Christian for 13th place, finishing ahead of only Air Force and Southern Utah.
Senior Jose Pelayo had the best individual performance for Utah, finishing tied for 18th by shooting two under par in the final round.
