PALO ALTO, Calif.- Andrea Chavez recorded a personal best time in the 1,500-meter race at the Stanford Invitational to lead Utah on the first day of a busy weekend of competition.
“We are in a good place,” Utah head coach Kyle Kepler said. “It is early in the season and we are running close to lifetime bests. We trained particularly hard these last couple of weeks, with high mileage, and it showed today. We are biding our time and getting our training in now so we can be good when we want to be.
