SEATTLE, Wash.- The University of Utah track and field distance runners kicked off the first day of action at the UW Invitational with multiple athletes competing for the first time this season. Competing in their only event of the evening, the Utes earned third overall in the distance medley.
The relay comprised of sophomore Sarah Feeny, true freshman Caitie Faust, redshirt freshman Sadie Wassum and sophomore Hannah McInturff performed well for the Utes, capturing third overall. Feeny kicked the Utes off with a strong showing in the 1,200-meter leg, recording a time of 3:27 to keep the Utes right in the hunt with the top runners.
