TEMPE, Ariz.- The Utah distance runners kick started the first day of competition at the Baldy Castillo Invitational with five Utes competing in the 1,500-meter run.
“I thought they all ran hard,” Utah head coach Kyle Kepler said. “We haven’t done a lot of race-specific work since the end of the indoor season, so about two to three weeks. That showed a little bit tonight, but that should solve itself. A few of them have had some illnesses that they have been dealing with, so we also need to focus on getting healthy in that way.
