PROVO, Utah- Representing the Utes in the heptathlon, sophomore Madison Lanford and freshman Lauren McCluskey are in fifth and ninth place following the first day of the BYU Robison Invitational.
After four events of the heptathlon, Lanford has earned 2613 points and McCluskey has collected 2410.
Lanford got things off to a quick start in the 200-meter dash clocking a time of 25.51 seconds to capture first overall in the event. McCluskey also performed well, placing 11th in the event.
Lanford and McCluskey followed that performance with another impressive showing in the 100.
