LAWRENCE, Kansas – Ali Eisenbeiss finished 18th in the 800 while Chrissy Glasmann was 40th in the javelin as the Utah track and field team got underway at the NCAA West Preliminary Championship on Friday.
Eisenbeiss, who entered the meet seeded 37th, placed third in her heat and 19th overall with a time of 2:08.12.
“She was out quickly with the leaders and the pace backed off a bit too much in the second 200,” Utah head coach Kyle Kepler said. “Ali moved to second on the backstretch and held that position until the final few steps before finishing third.
