After so much speculation, BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe announced about an hour after the game ended that former Cougar fullback and Utah defensive coordinator Kalani Sitake would be the program's next head coach.
In his final game as head coach of BYU, Bronco Mendenhall said Saturday's Las Vegas Bowl would go down in history as one of the all-time great matchups. The game was good .
