SALT LAKE CITY — The University of Utah has gone 15-4 since its first-ever bowl appearance in the 1939 Sun Bowl.
That record includes a 12-1 record since a 17-17 win over Fresno State in the 1999 Las Vegas Bowl.

Utah’s 16-13 Freedom Bowl win over Arizona in 1994 was the Utes’ first bowl victory in 30 years. Cal Beck’s 72-yard kickoff return set up Mike McCoy to Kevin Dyson for the game-winner.
