SALT LAKE CITY — As the quarterback race was starting to heat up for the Utes, a nagging injury to one Utah quarterback will push the decision back until fall camp.
Utah quarterback Troy Williams, a highly touted junior college athlete out of Santa Monica, California, will be cheering his teammates from the sidelines for the rest of spring camp. Williams is out due to a “sore throwing arm," according to the Utah athletics.
Williams, a potential front-runner for the starting job to lead the Utes this upcoming season, will look to continue the quarterback battle with Brandon Cox and Tyler Huntley this fall.
