TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Utah Softball saw its spectacular season draw to a close on Saturday with a 3-0 loss at No. 8 Florida State in the NCAA Tournament Super Regionals.
Utah finishes the season with a 35-22 record after making the NCAA Tournament for a 15th time.
Defensively, the Utes turned four double plays in the contest, including one on a spectacular diving catch by Sammy Cordova to end the Seminole fifth. In the circle, Miranda Viramontes went 6 1/3 innings and allowed just the three earned runs today in 20 2/3 innings of NCAA Tournament play.
