TUCSON, Ariz. - Utah Softball dropped the finale at No. 18 Arizona this afternoon, 5-4. Despite jumping out to a four-run lead, the Utes allowed the ‘Cats back in the game before falling on a walk-off home run.
Utah jumped out to an early lead with a pair of runs in the first. Hannah Flippen singled through the right side with one out and then stole second. Anissa Urtez followed with a double to right and Heather Bowen added a single to left-center for a 2-0 advantage.
The Utes added another in the second when Shelby Pacheco launched her second home run of the season.
